Healthy public spaces for healthy people - Espacios públicos saludables, para personas saludables

In this guided tour, we invite you to discover how Consell de Cent Street has changed and which healthy urban planning criteria were applied in its design.

Urban populations are highly vulnerable to climate change; they can experience temperatures between 3 and 5 ºC higher than the surrounding rural areas due to the urban heat island effect generated by large concrete surfaces and the lack of vegetation cover.

We will focus on visiting and analysing the transformation of Consell de Cent Street and its surroundings. We will assess its benefits and discuss how these improvements could be extended to other urban spaces.
